Engels supplies 11,000 waste containers to Beekdaelen

In the coming weeks, the municipality of Beekdaelen will undertake a major logistical operation: the replacement of approximately 11,000 minicontainers. Engels plays a crucial role as the supplier of the new containers, which are designed for efficient and future-proof waste collection. Thanks to our delivery capacity and precise planning, the required containers are available on time and ready for use.

Background

The reason for this large-scale replacement operation is a previous decision by the municipality of Beekdaelen. Following the merger of the municipality, temporary collaboration was established with both waste collectors RWM and Rd4. As of January 1, 2025, all waste collection will be managed by Rd4. Since Rd4 does not use the same collection system as RWM, replacing the existing containers has become necessary.

Cooperation as the key to success

In this project, we are working with various parties to ensure the entire operation proceeds smoothly and to the satisfaction of residents. Engels Logistiek is responsible for supplying the new 140- and 240-liter containers that Rd4 will soon use. For additional services, we are collaborating with DBI Nederland, which is handling the coordination of the delivery and collection of the containers, including communication with residents.

Additionally, the residents of Amstenrade, Doenrade, Oirsbeek, Puth, Schinnen, and Sweikhuizen are contributing by setting out the old containers at the agreed times. Finally, cooperation with KRN Nederland is highlighted; they will recycle the old RWM containers into granulate, which can be reused in the production of new containers. Through this circular approach, we are contributing to a sustainable future, ensuring that the containers are 100% circular.
