Learn what Engels does to certify its products and maintain certification for ADR/UN-approved storage and transport containers and boxes.
Below, you will find more information about the applicability of our UN-approved bins, containers, and pallet boxes.
What does the UN certification exactly entail?
When containers, bins, or pallet boxes are used for the transport of hazardous (waste) materials by road, they fall under the packaging rules of the ADR (European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road) for both national and international land transport. For sea transport, the rules of the IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods) apply, and for air transport, the IATA (International Air Transport Association) rules are in place.
